How to Shutdown Computer Automatically in Windows 7
Have you ever been in a situation where you forget to turn off your computer and your computer ended up overheated or any other related issues that may harm your computer (like you're running windows update on power supply without the battery and suddenly there's a power failure....?)
As for me, I always forgot to shutdown the computer at night. Mostly because I fell asleep watching movie on bed. And, usually I run my computer on power supply instead of using the battery so there were several times where the power outage occurred and my computer is still running. This is bad for any computers. So, one of the way to prevent that is by scheduling an automatic shutdown to turn off the computer at certain time.

How to Open/Edit .dll File
Dynamic-link library (file extension "dll") is Microsoft's implementation of the shared library concept in the Microsoft Windows operating systems. DLLs contain code, data, and resources, in any combination. For more information about DLL, visit Wikipedia.
Maybe many of you try to edit the content of DLL files using Notepad or Wordpad. The two applications can't read all of the code. So, when you open using either one, it will displayed some random or inexplicable characters.

How to Combine .flv Files Without Using Any Software
Most of you always download videos from Youtube which the format is in .flv and the videos you've download are in several parts and you find it troublesome to keep them as separate files. So, you want to make them into one.
Well, here's what you can do to combine these parts into one video part without using any software and in the same time, the timecode is preserved.
Step 1:
Download FLV Binder by just click on the 'Download Now' link on the page.
Step 2:
Extract the flvbind.zip compressed file. Copy the 'FlvBind.exe' and 'FLVLib.dll' files from the folder into Local Disk (C) > Windows > System32.

How to Create Video Thumbnails/ Screenshot
For this tutorial, you may need to have either one of the MPC player. I'm using MPC - Home Cineme. You can also use MPCStar. *MPC = Media Player Classic
For those out there who still don't know how to create thumbnails (or you may also called it screenshots), this is how you do it:
Step 1:
Using the MPC player, open the video that you want to create the thumbnails from.
Go to File > Open File (or just simply press the key Ctrl + O).
You can also play the video by right-click on the video file and select Open with > Media Player Classic.

[TRICK] Some Folder Shortcuts (Junction Points)
In Windows 7 or Vista (32-bit), you can create a folder which can give you access to a number of shortcuts in the system. Others may called it 'GodMode', but it is actually not the right term for it as Microsoft developers usually used it to have a quick access to the developed system.
![]() | |
| GodMode contents |
You can create the the so-called 'GodMode' by the following steps:
Step 1: Create a new folder on your desktop (or any directory you want)
Step 2: Name it as GodMode.{ED7BA470-8E54-465E-825C-99712043E01C}
The one in red is actually the name of the output folder. You don't have to actually named it as GodMode, it can be others (I preferred ControlPanel). In the GodMode folder, there is a list of shortcuts which link to tools, utilities and interfaces that are available in Control Panel – it just puts them all into one big list and categorises them.
