How to Open/Edit .dll File

Dynamic-link library (file extension "dll") is Microsoft's implementation of the shared library concept in the Microsoft Windows operating systems. DLLs contain code, data, and resources, in any combination. For more information about DLL, visit Wikipedia.
Maybe many of you try to edit the content of DLL files using Notepad or Wordpad. The two applications can't read all of the code. So, when you open using either one, it will displayed some random or inexplicable characters.

To open/edit the DLL files, follow the following steps:

Step 1
Download and install the software Resource Hacker.

Step 2
After you've installed the software, go to the DLL file that you want to open/edit. (Just double-click on it to open the file or you can right-click on it > Open using Resource Hacker).

Step 3
That's it! Now you can start editing.

Tested OS: Windows 7 Ultimate 32-bit (Should work on all Windows-based OS)
